Cookie Policy
Last updated: 18 August 2026
This Cookie Policy explains, in accordance with Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive 2002/58/EC as implemented in the national law of the EU Member States, and Article 13 GDPR, which cookies and similar technologies are used on www.shopilo.com, what data they process, and how you can manage them.
3. Cloudflare (CDN and Turnstile)
The website www.shopilo.com is delivered through the content delivery network (CDN) of Cloudflare, Inc. (101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). In addition, the contact form embeds Cloudflare Turnstile, a privacy-preserving anti-spam service that verifies that form submissions come from a human visitor rather than an automated program, without showing intrusive puzzles and without tracking you across websites.
What is collected?
- Technical connection data (IP address, browser and device characteristics) processed to deliver the website and to detect and mitigate malicious traffic
- Signals used by Turnstile to distinguish human visitors from bots on the contact form
In the course of providing these services, Cloudflare may set the strictly necessary cookies listed in section 2 and may use similar browser storage strictly for security purposes. Cloudflare does not use these technologies to build advertising profiles.
Data transfers to the USA
Cloudflare, Inc. is established in the USA. Transfers take place on the basis of the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (adequacy decision of the European Commission of 10 July 2023), under which Cloudflare, Inc. is certified.
Legal basis
Article 6(1)(f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in the secure, reliable delivery of the website and the protection of the contact form against spam and abuse — in conjunction with the strictly necessary exemption of Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive 2002/58/EC as implemented in Member State law.
Further information is available in Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy and in Cloudflare’s cookie documentation.
4. Per-country Shopilo websites
The website www.shopilo.com is the international landing page of the Shopilo network. When you choose a country, you are taken to that country’s own Shopilo website (for example shopilo.ro, shopilo.de or ie.shopilo.com). Those websites are separate services: they may use their own cookies — including, with your consent, analytics or marketing cookies — and each has its own cookie policy, linked from that website, which applies from the moment you arrive there.
The website www.shopilo.com itself sets no analytics, advertising or affiliate tracking cookies. The cookies and storage described in section 2 are exhaustive.
5. Why there is no cookie banner
You will not see a cookie banner on www.shopilo.com — and that is deliberate. Under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive 2002/58/EC, consent is only required for cookies and similar technologies that are not strictly necessary. Everything this website uses (see section 2) is either strictly necessary for security and delivery of the website, or serves the sole purpose of remembering a choice you have explicitly made (your country selection).
Because the website sets no cookies that require consent — no analytics, no marketing, no tracking — there is nothing for you to consent to, and no consent management tool is used. If this ever changes, this Cookie Policy will be updated and a compliant consent mechanism will be introduced before any such cookies are set.
6. Managing cookies and local storage in your browser
Even though this website only uses strictly necessary and functional technologies, you remain in full control:
- Browser settings: in your browser settings you can view, delete or block cookies for specific websites. Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may impair security functions such as the contact form’s spam protection.
- Country choice: you can remove the stored shopilo:country entry at any time by clearing this website’s site data in your browser (usually under “Privacy” or “Site settings”), or simply pick a different country on the country picker to overwrite it.
Note: deleting this website’s site data removes your stored country choice. The country picker will simply ask you again on your next visit — nothing else is affected.
